One reason everything looked so vivid -- I picked up a pair of new prescription trifocal glasses yesterday. The first time I put them on, a whole new realm of vivid clarity manifested itself. I celebrated that evening by visiting our nearest celestial neighbor with my Celestron telescope. Aiming that beast is a learned skill, so I'll practice on the moon for a while. Getting things in focus took much less time than before.
In other news, we're prepping the old Spinner House for vacation rentals. It has a bedroom with attached bathroom, a spacious great room, and a covered deck in the back. You get there by crossing a stream on a foot bridge. We think it will attract honeymooners and couples wanting to get away for a few days. Stay tuned -- I'll be posting pictures soon.
